Small Wind Systems

The wind turbines are engines which convert the kinetic energy of wind into electricity. This conversion is done in to phases. During the first stage through the impeller we have the conversion of the kinetic energy into mechanical energy. During the second stage, through the generator, we succeed the conversion of the mechanical energy into electrical.

It’s proven that Greece has one of the best wind potential in Europe. During the previous period the investment interest was monopolized by proposals concerning large scale facilities in areas with very high potential (top of mountains). In our days the interest is focused mainly in hilltops in which the installation of small wind systems are preferred because on one hand the licensing procedure is simpler, on the other hand the capital needed is much more affordable for small scale Investors.
